Category: Classic Teas

Dragon Well Tea, also known as Lung Ching, grown near the beautiful West Lake of Hangzhou in Zhejiang province and is processed by hand through a 10-step process. It is distinguished by its beautiful shape, flat, smooth appearance, emerald green color, fresh, fragrant aroma; and mellow, slightly sweet taste. In Chinese culture, Dragon Well is regarded as an excellent gift for friends as it once was a gift for emperors.

Brewing Directions: To enjoy full merits of Dragon Well Tea, use a glass cup. Place 1 teaspoon of loose leaves in the cup, add water that is about 180℉ or 85℃, let the tea steep for approximately 2 to 3 minutes and then enjoy. When the tea water goes down to one-third of the cup, add more hot water for a delicious second infusion or more until the flavor of the tea is exhausted.

The hand-processing really shows—each leaf is flat and even, just like the traditional Lung Ching style from the West Lake region. I brewed a cup this morning and the liquor was clean and mellow without any bitterness, even after a couple of steeps. This 250g bag is going to last me a while, which i

I’ve gone through a lot of teas, but this one’s leaves are incredibly uniform and flat, a sign of the hand-processing that really comes through in the cup. The brew is smooth with no bitterness, even when I left the leaves in a bit too long. A full 250g bag means I’m set for weeks, which makes the q

These leaves are so elegantly flat and uniform, you can tell they went through that meticulous 10-step hand process. The taste is clean and gently sweet, exactly the kind of mellow green tea I want for slow afternoons. A 250g bag this affordable will definitely last me a while.
