The roots arrived firm and dry, just how I like them for steeping in tea or chewing on a tough afternoon. I’ve already used a few to make soup and the flavor is clean and earthy, not bitter at all. This 4oz bag will last me a while.

Got this as a gift for my mom who swears by American ginseng for her energy levels. The small root pieces are easy to brew into tea, and she said the taste is clean and not overly bitter. Just wish the bag were a bit bigger for the price.
